Who we are

Sayvur, Inc. operates Sayvur, a local e-commerce platform connecting shoppers with neighborhood vendors. 100% of listing fees are donated to local schools.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform:

Account information — name, email, and password (hashed) when you register as a shopper or vendor.

Location data — vendor business addresses (entered manually). Shopper location may be used in the web or native app for distance-based sorting, nearby deals, check-ins, and delivery quotes. We store delivery addresses and location coordinates that you explicitly save or submit for checkout.

Transaction data — token purchases and order history, processed securely through Stripe. We never store full credit card numbers.

Usage data — page views and interaction events (e.g. deal clips, searches, check-ins, and notification interactions) to operate and improve the platform. Some events are tied to your account when needed for rewards, fraud prevention, support, or order history; reporting views are aggregated where possible.

Device permissions — the shopper and vendor apps may ask for location and notification permission. The vendor app may also ask for camera permission to scan customer QR codes; camera access is used for scanning and we do not store camera images from QR scans.

Browser storage

We use browser localStorage and native app storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and store preferences like your selected school. This data stays on your device unless it is needed to operate account, checkout, rewards, messaging, or notification features.

Error reporting

We use Sentry to detect and fix bugs. When an error occurs, Sentry receives the error message, the current route or URL when available, and basic device information such as browser, app version, operating system, and screen size. We redact sensitive URL parameters such as reset tokens and checkout session IDs before sending diagnostic metadata. On the web, you can opt out of error reporting by selecting “Essential only” on the consent banner.

Advertising measurement

With your consent on the web, we use Google Ads measurement to understand whether campaigns lead to visits and completed orders. Google may process limited device, browser, referral, page, and conversion-event data for attribution and reporting. We configure Google consent mode to deny advertising and analytics storage until you choose “Accept all” on the consent banner.

Payment processing

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of successful payments but never see or store your full card number, CVV, or billing details.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only with service providers essential to operating the platform (Stripe for payments, Sentry for error monitoring, Google Ads for consented advertising measurement, SendGrid for transactional emails, and Expo services for native app builds, updates, and push notification delivery).

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or delete your account in the app. If you cannot access your account, email privacy@sayvur.com and we will respond within 30 days. See Account Deletion for details.

Children’s privacy

Sayvur is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via an in-app banner. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
